Not All that glitters is Gold!
More girls are going to school and staying in school than ever before, but remarkable gains in education have made little headway in helping shape a more equal, less violent environment for girls, a March 2020 UN Report Quotes. Men and boys remain the major abusers of women at home, work and in communities including Schools.
For many Survivors, Violence in childhood and adolescence correlates with the perception of the family of origin as a hostile environment and of violence against women as a corrective measure, and that insults, swearing, and humiliation by their partner within the Family Of Procreation is acceptable. We are limited by resources to run Peer Education in general public but in the PED schools we work with, Students have been sharing information with their peers on violence against women and girls, its impacts upon survivors and their families and ways to recognize healthy and unhealthy relationships both online and offline. The Peer Educators with more awareness on the issue are referring students in need to counsellors and efiug focal persons.
Through Peer Education, opportunities for girls to make relevant choices in pursuing STEM, Personal Growth Projects and the Demand for Social Services has increased in PED Schools.

- Leadership trainings for girls interested in taking up Leadership positions within their communities, schools or institutions.
