Why It Matters

Skills of Hope

Employers across the world depend on skills employees bring to the table in addition to their education but less than 37% of Women in Uganda have an extra skill required on the job. As the world grows, Technology has become part of everyday life and a required knowledge even on a personal basis but less than a third of science researchers in Uganda are women. Information is power and education for women means more than just survival.

STEM for Girls in Uganda is significant low as is around the world, limiting their participation in Science Education. Using our efforts in information sharing, we want to provide trainings and information to community women and girls to build their capacity and improve their chances in pertaking STEM in Schools by addressing challenges limiting their abilities.

We want to build skills in technology from the youngest stages of life to ensure that Girls in and out of school benefit from the good things technology has to offer, We want to build other skills for community women including those in Technology.
